BZXW was founded in 2019 as a joint venture between apparel design student, Abigail Mitchell, and graphic designer student Emily McLaughlin. The two friends came together to share their passions for enduring design, inclusion, and sustainability in fashion. Our namesake celebrates bees as foragers and caretakers of nature, creating a product that never goes bad.

BZWX’s mission is to promote ideas of sustainability and trend in fashion, as the two concepts seem increasingly contradictory. Our unique understandings of both graphic design and fashion allows for us to explore ways of reinventing garments and helping them to stay relevant. We achieve this through screen printing on donated t-shirts, performing alterations, and curating secondhand apparel to style in new ways alongside our original designs.
